Schedule

7:30 – 8:30 am	Children arrive, play in centers, dance to music or watch a little morning cartoons.
8:30 – 9:00 am	Breakfast is served.
8:45 – 9:00 am	Older children will help with clean up until everyone finishes breakfast and cleans up.
9:00 – 10:00am	Infants are changed and fed during this time then lay down to take their nap. [1](Infants and young toddlers will be allowed to nap on their own schedules, and even older children may need to nap unexpectedly at times.)

9:00 – 9:30am	Toddlers and preschool children select an activity such as a noisy group activity or play in various centers of their choice. Children help clean up after their playtime.
9:30 – 10:00am	Circle time is spent as a group, including babies to discuss our letter of the week, stories are read, felt board stories, finger plays and music. As babies wake up, they are brought in to join the group activity.
10:00 – 10:45am	Get ready to go outside; use the toilet, wash hands, change diapers if needed. Outdoor play and/or daily walks.
10:45 – 11:00am	Wash hands and clean up.
11:00 – 11:30am	Free play again-perhaps a special planned activity such as a craft and use of playdough, table toys and puzzles are done at the table.
11:30 – 11:45 am	Clean-up, wash hands, read a story and get ready for lunch.

11:45 – 12:45pm	Lunch is prepared; Family-style lunch is served to the children. Conversation is encouraged during this time. After lunch, older children help put food away and clean up. Hands are washed, diapers changed and mats are pulled out for naptime.
1:00 – 3:00pm	Everyone has a rest period. Preschool children who can’t sleep are encouraged to rest quietly on their mats. It is reasonable to expect children to rest or play in bed quietly for 30-40 minutes before they are allowed to get up and begin a quiet activity. As children wake up, diapers are changed, hands are washed, mats are put away and hair is combed.

3:00 - 3:30pm	As children awake from their naps; School age children arrive and help themselves to a snack.
3:30 – 4:00pm	Activities include indoor and outdoor for all children. School age children are invited to join in. A special project can be planned otherwise we will take our daily afternoon walk.

4:00 - 4:30pm	Free play: children play independently with various manipulatives, blocks, books and centers.
4:30 – 5:00pm	Snacks are served during this time. Afterwards, we might have group story time or singing; quiet group activities or daily walks (depending on the weather). Upon return, hands are washed, water is offered.
5:00 - 6:00pm	Children go home at various times. Projects are completed and assembled, diapers changed, and parent information sheets are made ready. Children look at books, play in centers until their parents arrive. Events of the day and plans for the next day are discussed with children and parents as they leave.
6:00pm	Love And Lollipops is closed. Have a good night!

[1] Infants will nap two and sometimes three times a day on their own schedules, which will change as they grow. Toddlers may take one or two naps each day. Like infants, their sleep demands will change over time and may even increase and decrease at different times. It’s helpful to learn the sleep schedule for each infant and then plan active and messy
activities that most need my supervision when the infants are sleeping.
